Meet The Team
Our ministry at FBC Toronto is guided by a dedicated leadership team that
includes the Pastor, Ministers, Deacons and Elders.
Our pastor
Rev. Dr. Wendell Gibbs has served as our Senior Pastor since 2010, together with his wonderful wife Rosil, and their adult children - Brandon (daughter-in-law Tianna) and Brittney.
Pastor Gibbs is a naturalized Canadian citizen who was born in the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago. His first career was as a Product Sales Manager with worldwide travel before a call to pastoral ministry. His biblical education includes a Doctor of Theology and a Master of Divinity.
Pastor Gibbs is often called upon for building network relationships. He is a lead volunteer chaplain with the Toronto Police Services and a volunteer chaplain at Scarborough Health Network. As chaplain, he understands the spiritual, moral, social, and economic challenges we face in our post-modern world. He is also one of the founding executive of the Canadian Black Clergy and Allies, a Christian community-based organization to combat racism. He carries a convicting vision for peace and unity among all of God's children.

Some of his most transforming ministry experiences were unforgettable mission trips to Ghana, Nigeria, and most recently Rwanda and Congo, where he is engaged with FBC's major international mission - an annual “Youth Peace Camp” empowering youth in Africa.
